I have volunteered with the Multicultural Association of Caboolture and Surrounds Inc. for years and have assisted with the organisation of their annual Moreton Bay Multicultural Fiesta.
I started with the organisation over 10 years ago when my own cultural group performed at what was then called the Caboolture Multicultural Festival.
I now stay off the stage, and instead assist in identifying and enlisting cultural acts to entertain the community.
The work I do with the fiesta is wide and varied; including graphic design of brochures and sponsorship decks, stakeholder engagement, creation of site plans, memorandum of understandings and completion of all relevant council and legal documents to host an event. I also create the social media marketing packs for entertainers, stall holders and food vendors and also run all the organic marketing on Facebook and update the website.
